HOW TO PREPARE FOR A POWER CUT OR OTHER EMERGENCY
Power cuts do happen from time to time, often due to circumstances beyond the power company's control. Western Power Distribution are responsible for the provision of electricity for Dartmoor Forest and 7.8M other customers across the South West, the Midlands and Wales. Power cuts are an inconvenience but with some simple preparations the disruption can be reduced. This booklet aims to ensure your safety and help you to prepare and plan ahead of any possible power cut or emergency, regardless of where you live or the size of your home or business.

Bee Swarms.
Neither Dartmoor Forest Parish Council or West Devon Borough Council have any resources to deal with wild bee swarms. However, if you follow this link it will take you to a page maintained by the British Beekeepers Association which once you have entered your postcode will provide you with details of local beekeepers who can collect swarms.
